Our service

Sevenoaks Counselling offers professional counselling by Christians to the whole community. We aim to be welcoming and non-judgemental to all regardless of gender, sexual orientation, class, ethnic origin, faith or no faith.

We offer counselling to people resident in Sevenoaks and surrounding areas. This includes Kent, Medway, South London together with parts of Sussex and Surrey closest to Sevenoaks.

We do ask for a contribution for each session and the recommended amount per session is £55.00 for individuals and £60 for couples and families. However, we do realise that for some this may not be affordable.

There are some subsidised sessions available for people living: - within the SDC area;  or - in a neighbouring council district living within a 4-mile radius of Sevenoaks Counselling.

For those who qualify for subsidised sessions, we ask people to contribute what they can afford towards the cost of their counselling and assessment. This will be discussed with the counsellor at your Initial Assessment

As a charity Sevenoaks Counselling relies on donations and grants to continue providing this service to the community. For more details on how to support our work please see the Support Us page.

We provide confidential professional counselling to individuals, couples and family groups, including children and teenagers. The number of sessions is tailored to the needs of the individual, varying from short to long term counselling.

We offer services for adults, children and teenagers, and families. We also offer Play Therapy to primary school age children.

We also provide:

  • pastoral supervision for clergy and other church leaders

  • student placements for trainee counsellors on accredited courses.

  • continuing professional development courses for qualified counsellors

  • clinical supervision for counsellors
