Our Impact

Since 1983 we have helped thousands of clients to lead happier, healthier, more fulfilled lives, supporting them to overcome trauma, relationship difficulties, stress and anxiety, and in doing so benefitting many thousands of others among their family, friends and society. Each week on average we support over 70 people.

We continue to work with our clients for as long as they need, with contact ranging between 3 or 4 sessions to long term work over many years, with an average of 28 sessions per client.

What our clients say about us

“I don't know how I would have managed without Sevenoaks Counselling's support through a very difficult period in my life.  It is imperative it continues its service.  Thank you.”

“I was able to talk through difficult circumstances and situations in a safe place, helping me to unravel tangled thoughts and making sense of my confusing emotional responses in challenging situations.”

“I think that Sevenoaks Counselling is an unbelievable service that everyone in the UK should have access to. I believe that the NHS is unable to provide the appropriate mental health care to the people who need it, but not being able to afford private counselling is what kept me relying on NHS care and waiting for years to be seen. When I was told about Sevenoaks Counselling, I couldn't believe that this service was available to me and once I was assessed and put on the waiting list I was already recommending it to anyone who needed support with their mental health. I have come so far in the year that I have been meeting with my counsellor, and I don't feel that she is trying to rush me to 'get better' so that she can move me on. I feel that she will be there to support me for as long as I need, which is such a relief to me. I no longer have to pretend to be better at the end of a 6 week set of 30min sessions.”
