Counselling can be beneficial to people struggling with a variety of concerns, including: marital issues psychological difficulties spiritual dilemmas physical and emotional disability terminal illness bereavement separation and divorce family dilemmas In addition to the 16 part-time counsellors, a Family Therapist has now joined the team. Family Therapy offers a way of working together for  parents and children who are finding relationships challenging. Our Family Therapist seeks to bring people together in a safe and supportive place to both talk and listen to one another. This often improves communication within the family. The focus is on how to move forward,  although sometimes it is important to think about the past. Every family is different and composed of unique individuals. However, the issues  that can affect family life are often shared by other people too e.g. physical illness and disability, marital issues, divorce, lone parenting,  mental health, alcohol and substance abuse, the effects of trauma, bereavement, sibling and step-sibling relationships and life cycle  changes. Family Therapy offers a dedicated space to talk together about things which have proved difficult to discuss at home. How much will it cost? The recommended charge for a counseling session is £40, but you are only asked to pay as much as you can afford, whether the full  amount or less.  A bursary fund makes it possible for clients to be accepted, irrespective of their ability to pay.   Sevenoaks Christian Counselling Service, The Bridge (Behind Christ Church U.R.C) Littlecourt Road, SEVENOAKS, TN13 2JG Telephone: 01732 450118 The service is constituted as a limited company in England and Wales (number 1764440) and registered as a charity - number 288191.
